Cowboy Catering was the first venture from hospitality duo Lachie and Craig — a no-fuss catering business serving up simple, home-cooked dinners with a whole lot of heart. They wanted an identity that felt honest and approachable, with a touch of nostalgic charm.

Drawing inspiration from ’80s corporate branding, I designed a chunky monogram that’s bold, simple and instantly recognisable. Paired with Univers in lowercase, the typography keeps the tone friendly and down-to-earth. It was one of my first real-world projects after graduating — a total joy to see the logo around Perth on Lachie’s truck, and the start of an ongoing collaboration that’s since grown to include Do a Dinner, North Street Store, Little Loaf, Big Loaf, Peoples and Wards.
